Hut gen. M.R. Štefánik under Ďumbier was supposed to replace the cozy Karlova shelter, that was built on the top of Ďumbier in 1902, which is now just a pile of stones.

Chatár na Majekovej chate je veľmi priateľský, otvorený, komunikatívny a vždy nám vyšiel v ústrety. Personál ma veľmi milý a keď sa po šťastí a varia, ak majú hostí, tak varia naozaj dobre, naposledy robili domáce langoše a gulasik. Miesto je ideálne aj pre deti, chata im poskytuje vonkajšie ihrisko a vnútri majú parádny detský kútik a na WC dokonca, ako dcérka hovorí, majú aj medzikus ???? odporúčam na relax a odputanie sa od civilizácie a mesta.
